Okay, i am sure no one will disagree that kirk hammett is one of the coolest lead guitarists around.

Well, my point is that lately ive noticed when he plays power chords, he uses index and pinky finger, (yes im trying to copy him ;P ) so im cool with that, now the other 2 fingers he straightens, so it looks like all his fingers are straight and flat when he plays a powerchord on low E string, im fine with that also..

NOW, what has really gotten to me, is how he does this (sanitarium)

----------------------------
----------------------------
-------0--------0--------0-- etc..
-----4--------5--------7----
---2--------3--------5------
-0--------0--------0--------

Looks simple enough, it is simple enough, but playing it the way hammett does it looks impossible, he flattens his fingers out for the 0-2-4-0 thing, so the index finger would naturally muffle out the G string, yet, no, it does not, and if not the index finger muffling it, surely his pinky would, but it doesnt, it looks so cool, yet i have found no way to replicate this, i cannot do it, the way he does it

To get a real idea of what im dribbling on about you need to see him play it, i seen it on cunning stunts, during Bass/guitar doodle.

So, after all that, can any of you do what im talking about, and give me a few pointers on it, because kirk hammett plain and simple rocks, so me (like others) want to develop his style.

Please help, ciao
