Thanks for all you comments:) really appreciate it very much.

Yup, now I AM sure the intro is pushing it too far. And putting it in the middle would really make the song more interesting.

Many thanks again for taking time to listen and write your comments :)

For the folks who are interested, here's a note on how this song was recorded:

Tech notes:
Piano, Syth : Korg Music Workstation W/01
Gtr: Yamaha RGX321L
Gtr effects are direct from the Korg D16 multitrack recorder. (I love the amp simulation)

Obviously, everything was recorded, mixed and mastered on the D16.

Recording log:

The intro progression and main parts were thought out during a jam session at Alex's house. 2 weeks later, the piano track was recorded. It was a hot, humid tropical Sunday evening. Alex and I discussed about the dynamics and tempo. He took just 3 minutes to warm up and we recorded it in one take.

One week later, I added all the syth parts. It was a hot and sunny Saturday morning. I took 2 hours to finish the parts becasue I keep screwing up. Since I did not want to do any punch-ins , I did the parts in one take as well.

4 days later, I listened to the completed backing tracks a few times and laid the solo in 3 takes in the following order: 2nd part of main section, 1st part of the main section , then the intro solo.
