Me, being the lead guitarist of an up and coming heavy metal band, have been digging tapping. The thing is, I taught it to myself and I tap with the edge of the pick, because it feels easier and I get a strong attack.

However, I do not feel this is the right way to tap. Do you using the pick instead my finger is just side-stepping learning real technique?
