You don't have to spend big money to get huge sound. I can tell you from personal experience that a used Ampeg >SJ-12T< re-issue is a killer amp. (Note the name of the winning bidder.) :D
It works well with pedals, and it's as loud as you'll ever need to be.

Well after much debate I found a Peavey valveking 112 from a friend who had more then enough amps and guitars, that BTW, I had no idea until I started playing and he mentioned this. I got it for $250. Which after looking around this was a hell of a deal. I'm very pleased with the sound I get out of this and with my RP150 hooked up it's perfect.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with it so far. I think I made a good choice. The guy who sold it to me is in a few bands, has several guitars and a lot of sound equiptment.
