PRS...Harmon/Kardon has been known more over the years for their components, not their speakers. If it were me I would try to go listen to them first. But I think maybe your not the audiophile that I am. For what you want to do that set-up will probably work fine.

And PonyOne, can you please provide a link to that 1000 watt subwoofer you have? I would sure like to see that! ;)
