If you are very careful, and you limit yourself to just the sides of the neck I think you can do this yourself. go slow and check your work often. As soon as the fert is no longer bothering you stop. Don't dress the frets themselves, just the sides andstay as close to 90 degrees to the fret face as possible. Plus don't get into the wood of the fret board.
