Yeah, any processor that has a preamp would work just fine... I personally would prefer it that way because when you use amp modeling and cab modeling it usually get's colored by your amps preamp anyway..... So it's generally the way that Line6 PODs and effects processors are suppose to be ran... I ran my GT-8 through a Peavy power amp for awhile and it sounded awesome. Sold the power amp though for 400 bucks.
