I've always wanted an 8 string but they are just too damn expensive - at least the Conklin and LGM models are, must have a look at the new Ibanez - it was only a matter of time before they got around to it. The low end riffs you can get have so much power because of the gauge and low tuning. Check out Rusty Cooley to get an idea of how cool they can sound.
