My big question now (shoot first, then aim) is am I too old at 65 to learn how to play blues within a relatively short time (six months?). I used to play drums. but live in a condo now, so lost that option (can't imagine why).

I'm a new member. I liked what I read here on a forum about having short fingers versus long or regular (I have short) and hoped I hadn't wasted my money when I bought a Calvin double-cutaway from a friend who is a well known blues guitarist (no, didn't ask him the following question...to shy, I guess) (if I'm saying that right) electric to learn how to play blues, which I love, ala Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, yada, yada.
