Do you know, it's a fact that 99% of British folk will never see a real gun in their entire lives? The British police have started to dress a little bit more like Batman in recent years, but still no guns.
Once, when I had my (very brief) mountain bike fad, we saw a beautiful stag, on the edge of Sherwood forest. It had the sun setting behind it, and for those few, fleeting seconds, it was well worth the sore legs to get there.
If you kill something you intend to eat, I suppose its OK, but your talking to a guy who, when we had mice in the house, caught them on sticky traps, took them into the garden and released them, only for them to actually beat me back into the house, through the open back door!
Expect a pic of me holding a shot mouse, then displaying its head on the wall later. :)
