To some degree yeah it can be hard to tell the difference, but in my experience, Hispanic people from the caribbean and latin america look different, and regions within central america have people with different appearances too (often depending on how much Spanish or Portugese influence in the area they were in).

Of course, I also can see differences from people from different areas of Europe and different parts of Asia... maybe I'm just a freak. A SUPERFREAK.
