To an extent there holds truth in it. In a metaphorical sense it's like me saying that all country music sounds the same. Of course it all sounds the same to me, I barely listen to the stuff so how am I supposed to pick up on any distinguishing styles? At the same time I could tell you every thing that makes every death metal band different from each other, but in the end, it still sounds the same.
