All we have in my house is guitars, basses, and a piano. I only play the guitars and basses, but I'm going to start playing the piano because I think it'll help a lot with my understanding of music theory and construction, and also because I want to be just like Amanda Palmer. :D I don't really see how playing multiple instruments is anything but helpful. I know for sure that when I started playing guitar it improved my bass playing a lot.
