The JC Clean, Black Panel, Rectifier... etc... are all amp models... The Cube emulates the sounds of different amps. The phaser, flanger, chorus, delay and all that are the effects... The best way to get use to a certain piece of gear is to mess around with it so you can figure out what features are useful to you. Also it's a good idea to glance through the owners manual so you can find all the features. Sometimes there are features that are harder to use than others...
