When I was a little kid, (6 or 7), I used one of my moms sewing tools on the face of my Dad's 1931 Gibson L1. Just one scratch across the top. Dad still played the guitar for a long time. He taught me how to play it. Now, nearly 40 years later, I have it in my living room. Every time I look at it that's the first thing I see, but I don't really remember my Dad being mad. I found a scratch on the back of my Martin D-28 a couple of months ago. I suspect my 15 year old son. I haven't said anything. Maybe 40 years from now. He may tell me about it.
