Yup, I'm with the others. Don't try to hide it or avoid it. Although he might be a bit cheesed at first, he will have more respect for you if you just own up to it. I am sure that he's done some things very similar and I would be willing to bet that his Dad or whoever forgave him.

One thing that I have learned as I've moved along in my life is that my parents were and are a lot cooler than I thought when I was much younger. Funny thing is they say the same thing about me! :)
