I agree with you to some extent that the Cards didn't "give away the game" to the Bears. But the Cards' play calling and poor execution allowed the Bears to get back in it. They made a huge mistake by switiching to a conservative game plan where they just ran the ball (ineffectively) once they got the lead. There's absolutely no reason to take the ball out of Leinart's hands because he was the one bright bright spot on offense. The idea of "just putting points on the board" and running the clock was plain stupid. The Cardinals don't have anything to play for! No need to squeek by with a win. They should've gone for the jugular early on and well into the 2nd half when they were still causing turnovers. They let the Bears hang around and they got what was coming to them.
