The loop pedal is not going to sustain notes, really. I mean, yes, you could use one to do so, I think, but it would be tedious to set up and not the kind of thing you could do while just playing...

The Ebow would be pretty annoying to have around just to use when you want to sustain notes... You'd have to put it somewhere when you weren't using it.
