So far I've told all my employers that I needed my birthday off and have never worked on it (or had summer school). I consider it my personal holiday. Even if I don't do a damn thing, I just think it goes against my gut to do the routine. I'll prolly have to break that habit though sooner or later. We all gotta do what we gotta do.
On my 21st birthday I thought to ask for it off, but they happened to schedule me the next day at 6am, so that kinda defeated the purpose somewhat. :)
