If you had a tech install the pups, take your axe back and give 'em a chance to do right by you. After many years of playing humbuckers, I have recently started re-acquainting myself with the mixed blessings of single-coil pickups. They can be annoying lil' buggers. If the new pups are actually humbuckers in a single-coil sized package, they should not be buzzing at all. If they're single coil pups with some additional shielding, they may still pick up interference from external sources. You may have to change your setup, rearrange your gear placement, stay away from appliances, light dimmers, and computer monitors - y'know, the usual suspects.
