So, this morning at around 9 a.m., my doorbell goes off, and there's two cops at the front door.
I see them through the glass on my front door and my first thoughts are stuff like "did I do something illegal?", "did somebody die".... we're talking the whole range of emotions from 'holy crap I'm screwed because they found a body or something in my backyard...to, I forgot to pay a parking fine and I have to spend the day in jail...." Like seriously, my hands were shaking when I opened the door.
My first words were "Did I do something wrong?"

There's two cops, and the first one says "No it's nothing like that. Can we come in?"
I'm thinking.... like I have a choice.... sure you can come in.

"Somebody has been trying to reach you and apparently you changed your phone number recently?"
"uh yeah..."
"Well, they just wanted us to come around and check that everything was alright and that there were no problems"
"uh... ok"
"Is your name >>>>>"
"uh... yeah.."
"what's your date of birth?"
"uh.....>>>>>>>
"I notice there are security cameras all around the house... what's the reason for those?"
"uh... security?"
"Well this person ...jane doe.... couldn't get through and her husband is a police officer so she asked him to look into it for her to make sure everything was ok.
"uh.... yeah everything is fine"
"Is it alright if she calls you?"
"uh ... yeah"

In fact, I haven't seen this stupid girl for years.
I mean... what the hell is she thinking???
You can't get through to me on the phone so you call the cops and send them out to my house in a squad car so all the neighbors can see and scare the absolute crap outa me???"
Like... have you ever heard of email, or regular mail, or the internet???

All I can say is she'd better not call, cause I'm gonna tell her to ... um...
do a bunch of stuff I can't mention in this forum...
