I like the silver better too. I learned on a gold one, and after about 6 years it faded in color and just looked awful.
Yamaha here is a pretty cheap instrument with a few exceptions. I had a yamaha guitar once that had incredible tone. My brother plays a yamaha sax that he hates. What country are you in?
