As usual, try before you buy if possible. That's the only way for you to really know which one would be better. I've never played a H&K, but I've got a PV Valveking 112, and I have no problems coaxing whatever tones I want out of it. With the addition of an overdrive pedal and/or an EQ pedal, you can get any tone you want, no matter how soft or heavy you want it. The stock speakers are crap, and can definitely use replacing, but other than that, it's a really great amp, and you can't beat the price.

The cleans can go from sparkling clean to fat blues, and the dirty channel sounds almost like they took a Classic 50 a Triple XXX and a 5150 and combined them all together. It can go from light crunch to rip your face off.
