I play in drop C tuning (drop D a whole step down) and was able to get my Ibanez set up, used 3 springs.....Took a while b/c of the string tension...adjust the springs, tune, adjust, tune....It can be a hassle.

I use the Ernie Ball Power Slinkys in the purple pack....
