i was wondering if someone can help me out.
Ive currently been spending a lot of time with a slide, and ive decided i want to learn for real.
A few of my friends who can play slide suggested i dedicate a guitar for the purpose, and the only guitar i can 'sacrifice' is my Epiphone Joe Pass/Emperor II.
So my question is, is an archtop able to support the tensions for playing slide (high action, heavy strings, and also the added tension from open tunings)? i ask because the bridge and tail piece seem a bit delicate, and i wasnt sure about the strength of the body.
