I've been playing for about 8 months now, with my awful guitar (trust me it's awful). Been getting frustrated cos i've got no music teacher, or any body who knows anything about music for that matter, so it's all been from books, and when it's comes to theory, that's where i REALLY get stuck.
Just a quick word, people don't take playing the guitar soooo seriously (unless you do it for a livin'), no body is as bad as they think,(or as good as they think for that matter. Just somewhere in between), don't get frustrated, or you'll end up leaving a trail of smashed expensive guitars (like a certain KUrt cobain... i can't afford ONE of his guitars, some of them were custom made lefties by the way so you couldn't have got them from any guitar shop, and look how many he got through)..
