One of my friends got the Berhinger set... because he wants to learn how to play guitar... The amp, like has been said... is pretty decent little practice amp. The guitar however... is the epitomy of poor craftmanship. Obviously it's a shear entry level guitar. It's made for people to break their teeth on then basically throw in the corner. I would say if that's all you can afford then go for it. The quicker you get to playing the better. But, if you can spare an extra hundred or so bucks go for a Squire set or some other brand.
