I think metal is starting to slowly come back around from what was the '90s rock... which was basically all derived from the grunge movement of the early '90s.... simply power chord progressions and no solos... Now more and more bands are riffing and starting to add solos in to their songs... I think things are starting to revert more to the true roots of metal and guitar music...
