Dude, even most very small guitar luthiers use CNC to route out the body shapes, top contours, and neck profiles. This is a good thing though, because it means concistancy. The PRS private stock guitars however are all completely done by hand. Eventhough the rest of the PRS line is done by CNC, that is just the rough shape. After that they are hand sanded, and strictly inspected before they go any farther. The rest of the process is completely done by hand. This process is no different than most small company luthiers. Take guitars built by Ron Thorn for example. Amazing quality, and a very reasonable price for what you get. But, they are cut out on a CNC machine. Does this mean they are any less of a guitar? NO!
