does anyone think that it is better to not anchor your pinky or other fingers on the guitar body while picking? i used to do this all the time, but then changed to just curling my fingers up while playing because i was told that it will help with speed. is this true? because i've seen some of the fastest guitar players (malmsteen, satriani, hammett, vai, batio) anchoring their pinky down as a sort of pivot point. what do you guys think?
