When I've done shows in the past that were dance type atmospheres... mostly frat parties and stuff of that sort... I've done a lot of Sublime. What I Got, Santeria, Wrong Way, Pawn Shop (As an intermission type song) and I've even had a Spanish speaking friend sit in and sing Caress Me Down... Most people known those songs... try to target the sings to what type of crowd you're going to have... Sometimes you have to play songs that you personally hate... just to please a crowd... Like... anything punk. Sometimes you have to play a Sum 41 song if that's what's getting the crowd jumping around... or sometimes you have to go with an acoustic Dave Matthews song if the atmosphere is a little more chill.
I don't know what your crowd is going to be... but alls I know is if it's a college crowd you can't go wrong with any kind of 80's music like Pour Some Sugar On Me, Livin On A Prayer... even Beat It by MJ gets the crowd going... Or Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, Jason Mraz... etc... college crowds like that acoustic stuff most of the time too...
Some other suggestions... Queens of the Stone Age - Go With the Flow, Little Sister, No One Knows.
Beatles - Come Together
Bush - Machinehead, Glycerine
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit (One of those songs that you may hate but people will still get into)
Well... Hope I gave you some more stuff to think about.
