I've had quite a few debates regarding these types of units.. there's always those that swear by them, and those that hate them. Not much of a middle ground. :-)

I used it too while playing death metal. I loved what it did to my sound till I used it while practising with the band. I felt that the frequencies it affects just disappeared in the mix of bass, kick and cymbals...
