Well I understand what your saying about the great swede. Unlike Paul Gilbert who will show his lessons slowly, Yngwie is of a different mindset. I have met him twice and both times he was fairly nice. The first time I met him he was opening for Dio at the Mid Hudson Civic Center in August of 90. This was after Jens Johansen left him to play keys for Dio. I gave him my original strat neck as a gift when I met him downstairs and he was very appreciative. The second time was in NY city. I went down to the Royalton Hotel, with a friend, where he was staying with his tech Jeff Horn. He was in town to discuss a new record deal after he had been dropped by Polygram. He was very drunk, dressed to the nines and blasting cest' la vie on a small boom box. He locked himself in his own bathroom for 20 minutes and couldn't get out. That's how drunk he was.
