one thing u might want to consider is how sure you are that the guitar u are going to buy suits the style of music u want to play, and how sure u are that u will still want to play that stlye later. if u are not sure i would advise a cheaper guitar so that when u have discovered what u want from a guitar u have the money to spend on it. i for instance got an epiphone less paul when i started cos i was told they were good. but now feel a bit fustrated because i would love a floyd rose locking trem, and i get annoyed that the upper fret access isnt very good. this is not to say it is not a good guitar, if u play blues or rock or generall chordy stuff its great got good tone (for the money) etc. but im not so sure its right for me.
