I got some down time at the moment also. So I am going to try an new method of learning an Instrument. I just read it from a Japanese guy that has written this method for the piano. Here is the gist of it. If your going to learn a song from tab, Memorize it with out your instrument, look for simularities in verses and do the hardest verses or solo's first and spend most of your time with the hardest verses visualize it in your head. When you pick up your instrument and start playing the piece try to go up to full speed right away. When you finnaly get it start practising it at x 1.5 speed. That might be really hard for shedders!!! What this method is suppose to do is, Help you learn the song faster and help you spend more time making music. It is a free book on the internet.
