Here's my source.....
For the last 4 years someone claiming to be Guitarist Phil Palmer has been playing on the games site brainking.com as a character called 'bumble' and there is now a notice on the main page to say he died on 14th February.
The bumble character saying that he is Phil did an interview here: http://brainking.info/interview-bumble.html
and the main page on the brainking site now has this info:
"Server News (15. February 2006, 17:46:49) Fencer BrainKing would like to pay its respects to a much loved and valued member of the site who sadly passed away yesterday (February 14th 2006). Bumble was a shining light here and he will be missed by many. Our deepest condolences go to his family.
Thank you everyone for all the messages and support. Please hold any questions about bumble at this time. It is a difficult time. Thank you for your consideration."
I knew Bumble for months (he's been on the site over 4 years) and truly believed him to be the 'real' Phil Palmer. If Bumble was just an impersonator he sure knew Phil Palmer's every move! Even Bumble's wife uses the site and his daughter. How can so many characters be done by one person and for such a long period of time. Phil (if indeed he was Phil) was a huge member of the site.
Please, can someone tell me if Bumble was the real Phil Palmer or just a good impersonator. He knew all the bands Phil was playing alongside, when, where etc etc. Please read the interview http://brainking.info/interview-bumble.html . If Bumble is fake, I hope someone can let the real Phil Palmer know.
I hope above all else that the real Phil Palmer is alive and kicking! Please e-mail me at cherimoya@ntlworld.com if you have any info. The Managing Director of Hornall Brothers said that Phil is alive and that he spoke with him this morning.
I wish I could find out for sure. There are some sick people out there. Right now lots of people are grieving about the death of someone who is most likely still alive.
