One of these days I'm gonna find out for sure what that hissing noise is at the beginning of the song. I can't be the only person in the world who kept going over that part on the 45 when I was a kid, trying to figure out why there's 4 hissing noises just before the song starts.

My theory is that it was recorded on a 4 track and the hissing noises are tape noise. I think the engineer clicked each track on, in beat, just before the song starts because it wouldn't sound right if he threw all 4 tracks on at the same time.

Nobody ever knows what I'm talking about tho... nobody else has ever heard the noise. Just like nobody knows who Cruds the Robot is, or remembers Mr. Beeper from Rocket Ship 7. Promo the Robot? Englebit Superchick??

maybe they recorded the album and it was a needle hiss.....nooooo....but that is what it sounds like to me......maybe it's SATAN???!!!???!!???
