A lot of fiddling is involved in learning how things work with those types of processors... So I suggest spending some quality time with it sitting next to you and your guitar while you fiddle around with all the different features. Also do some light reading with the instruction manual... Also, try to look around on Boss' website to see if they have tutorials or something of the sort... You might also try typing in "Boss GT-8 Tutorial" in a search engine and see what comes up.
