you know, 2 or 3 years back, people would sell M-rated games to 8 year olds. they didn't really care, they just wanted make a sale... then stupid over-concerned mothers stepped in, now I think they have to ask you. so the fact you could get movies/games a few years ago doesn't surprise me. the fact i can get them in today's day and age, a bit more impressive.
I still wouldn't be able to get served in a bar. hey, you live in CA too, I'm sure that even though you now ARE of legal drinking age, that you still get carded everytime you want to buy a six pack at your local grocery store. wanna know how I know? we have a sign in the back, near our employee break room, telling the checkers that they need to card anyone and everyone that is buying alchohal that looks to be 30 or under. and the store takes it EXTREMELY seriously, the checkers can lose their jobs for not carding people.. so, I'm positive that though you may have got served in bars at 16 in a redneck state, that you couldn't do the same in CA without getting carded, even though you are legal age.
