the "best" band would probably be something like the London Symphony Orchestra or something like that... not to be a smartass... just saying that there are tons and tons and tons of musical talent all over the world that never get steered into "mainstream" music. The best guitarists in the world IMO are those that play classical music for a said orchestra... And violinists are among the most impressive musicians anywhere... BUT!!! this being guitartricks... I would say the best band....... in the eyes of the general public... if there was a worldwide poll I would say that The Beatles would come back as the best band ever. Not my personal opinion but a good assumption. Like someone said... its subjective, a matter of taste... and of course, opinion.
