The only other thing I can think of is that dimarzios have a selection of wires to use, and you might have wired the double coils in series instead of paralell.
I've never done this and do not know what effect it would have ?

I would disconnect one of the pick ups completely and experiment with just one of them - to see if you can lose the fault
