I believe with Abu Gharib and what not that figure climbs everyday. We aren't getting rid of them ever. Furthermore we are taking over invaluable oil rescources which has to worry people. If we are hell bent on taking control of the region somebody is going to stand up against us. I believe this "war on terror" is a great cover for the "get all the oil we can war". When it becomes apparent of what we are really doing people who are not our core allies i.e. NATO, are going to be really pissed off.

Yeah, this conflict isn't for oil, and let's not even start that debate, because you and I both know the whole phrase is just for shock value.

Umm...the terrorist attacks were confined to Israel? What about the Bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993? Pan Am flight 103 in 1988? The bombings in Mumbai in '93? None of these terrorist attacks were in Israel, and there are many more examples of terrorist attacks (and I'm just talking Islamist fanatics at the moment, I'm not talking about the IRA or anything) on American, British, French, Algerian, German, and various other soils. Terrorism has existed (by that name) since I believe the French Revolutionary period (Reign of Terror) although modern definition of Terrorism does not fit that time period, it is the first use of that term. Yes, in a world of 7 billion people, 10 million is a few radicals. Such a small percentage of various countries' populations does not reflect any large scale movement. An example of the Christian equivalent would be the Nazis or the KKK. Are you afraid that the Nazis/KKK are going to overtake American government and declare war on the nations that bear the brunt of their hatred? Of course not. The 1% of muslims that are radical islamists or harborers of terrorism are, while a threat to people across the world, not enough to start a third "World War."
