Let's compare casualties. In Iraq, estimates on casualties for both sides combined range between about 30,000 and 103,000. Casualties in WWII for, oh, let's say the USSR total somewhere around 27 million military and 19 million civilians. How many nations have actually declared war? So far I'm fairly certain only 1 nation has declared war. That nation is Iraq.
