Try to live with it a few days. It'll eventually dry up and the smell will go away. Although you'll still have a dead mouse sitting around somewhere.
Bad news is that if you have one mouse, there's a real good chance you have a few more. If they're left unchecked they can multiply real quick.
Use a couple of traps and bait them with peanut butter.
(contrary to the cartoons, mouse don't really like cheese)
Make sure it's the only food available in the place. Check the traps every day cause mice are really good at licking the stuff off without setting off the trap. Smear some under the trip lever so they have to really squeeze in there to get it, and put a couple of dabs on the other parts of the trap so that they have to move around on top of it to get to them. Re-Apply any peanut butter that got wiped clean every day. Now they've found a reliable food source and will come back to check every night. Within a week or so you should have gotten rid of them.
If the trap sits around without being set off for a week, you've probably gotten em all, but check every few months cause future mice will follow the trails left by the old mice and find a way in too.
oh yeah..use rat traps rather than those piddly little mouse traps.
Those little things are useless and the mice just carry them away when they get stuck.
Plus the rat traps have a very satisfying SNAP to them when they go off.
