I have been playing for about 3 weeks, and I can play the intro to a few songs, but my question is muteing. I have read the section and everything, and since I am self-tought, I don't knwo if I am suppose to mute after every note? I ask this becuase if i don't, and a differnt note is on the same string, I let go and then its open, or if I dont its a slide and sounds like crap. Thanks for the help!

ps. For anyone starting, try playing "be like that" by 3 doors down. I find that to be a very easy song to play and I think everyone here will too.
