Eventually, I was secure enough about my skills that I could kick back and play bluesy, jazzy stuff just for the pure joy of it. Any more, it ain't worth a thing if it don't have that swing! I can listen all night to a master working within the limits imposed by that I IV V format, and never feel that I might have missed something by some frantic shredmeister.

Yeah, I'm an old fart, but I've done some crazy scenes along the way to here, and it was well worth the trip. Blues is where it's at for me. I think anyone who works hard enough on their technique can shred. But there's something very special about someone who can really play the Blues.[/font] :cool:
