I VERY highly recommend the book "How to make your electic guitar play great!" by Dan Erlewine. This is an excellent book for someone who wants to learn the ins and outs of the guitar and setups in a truly understandable and down to earth way.

It's well known and the best of its kind. Dan Erlewine is a reknowned repairman with super credentials.
