Whenever I pick up my fiddle and warm up or just feel like jamming a bit. I play alot of phrases from that solo. I can just about play the entire thing in almost the same manner the "Almighty" himself does :D But I tend to take it into my own direction using the same scales and feel he does. The scales hes uses in it are as follows. The (pentatonic major) and (minor) "alot". The (harmonic minor.) A few quick spurts of the (major) scale and some use of the (mixolydian.) He does not play these in any specific order or play them in any kind of box pattern to say. He mainly just improvises and plays what feels right at that moment. Thats what makes him so good! The number one ****ing spur of the moment guitar player in my opinion. He takes these scale patterns all over the neck in many differant keys but a majority of the time ends up in "G" or "G flat" (half step down tuning) for a large portion of the performance. As far as technique goes....he uses alot of legato runs with blazing hammer ons, pull offs, arpeggios and bends "as always". Using the bends combined with fast hammer ons and pull offs gives it that slippery sound when done in fashion like Good ole Saul always does. As far as tabbing it for ya...would take way to much time for my busy schedule and it feels better to take this style of play into your own direction anyway....At least for me :D Rock on and good luck finding someone willing to tab it for ya man.....Peace
Im a small town White Boy just trying to makes ends meat!
