Hi friends and forum fans, can you believe it's already Labor Day Weekend, summer's blazing along... In this post I am revealing the deep dark secrets behind the creation of my song,"iF yoU (C)see Kay", (get it??!! )... A couple of gals have e-mailed me wanting to know who this groupie "Kay" is? Well... I write songs loosely so the listener can interpret or perceive lyrics as they want too....this is open lyricism and my goal...But... KAY in reality as a person, was intended as a tribute to John Kay , lead singer ( and one heck of a performer with the mic-stand), of the legendary non-british true North American rock band of the 60's "STEPPENWOLF...ie: songs "Born to be Wild, Rock Me, Magic Carpet Ride, and The Pusher"...Mr. Kay and his band from the very start thrived on the concept of rock from the heart, heck with commercialism, thus the lyric "Turn down that commercial sound" in my lyrics...the rest of the songs lyrics poke fun at some of the things that bands and artists do to look good or pretend to be good instead of just "Letting the emotions say what the guitars play"...Give this a listen at http://funender.com/austn if you see kay....I'll warn you I let loose a little in the guitar solo...let me know what you think and I need to feel your vibes, CY_BER_ROCK as always... -Austn
