That's cool, but not exactly what I'm looking for. And I found some sites with a bunch of popular amps, and even found the exact amp that I hope to buy one day, the Rivera Knucklehead. Those things are sweet. Anyway, I'm looking for something like this. 5 (I bet three or four would probably work, but I'm looking for overkill distortion, :D ) 12Ax7 tubes, with gain and volume controls. No tone controls or anything like that, I can deal with that later. And I only need a preamp. Power amp I've got taken care of (not building one myself, though). I want to build a very simple but functional circuit. I hope that's enough detail for you to get the idea what I'm looking for. I just really love the sound of 12ax7 tubes and want to get more into building these things myself, just for the experience. And don't worry about the danger, I've done loads of research and I'm going to make sure to take proper precautions. I've seen what can happen when you don't take those precautions.

(by the way, I am in NO way planning to attempt to build a knucklehead. That'd just be massive stupidity, with my lack of experience)
